City Of David

Sorry I am kind of slacking on the blog these last two weeks but it is getting harder to find time here.

Quick update on the pictures... We went to the City of David yesterday and went through Hezekiah's tunnel. It had to be one of my favorite field trips! The tunnel is 1760 ft. long about a 45 min walk in the tunnel and about ankle to mid caff deep of water. It was awesome!We were able to use our headlamps for real finally it was great. After the tunnel we went to these really cool tombs and explore them a little bit. So over all it was a great day!

Lace... Look at you! Oh my gosh your trip has been so amazing :) it looks like you have made some amazing friends and are doing really well. I love you and miss you! Your always in our prayers :)

So for the first 5 days of being back from Turkey we had a horrible Cricket problem..That definitely needed to be exterminated! So let me give you a couple night by night experiences with this dang cricket.

Day 1:

Back from Istanbul at approximately 3 am. Never been so excited to be in my bed before, as my head hits the pillow the chirping begins... I finally feel like I will be able to sleep when 4:30 hits and the blessed call to prayer starts. Night 1 with little sleep.

Day 2:

The chirping dies during the day but the next night its back at it... still a little funny this night but get no sleep hear the call to prayer and wish I was dead.

Day 3:

Realize I have to do something put in my head phones in hopes that this deludes the chirping sort of works...

Day 4:

Yeah funniness is gone. I find out we have have bug spray and we (me and the roommates) go bug spray crazy on the little guy. But he doesnt stop!!!

Day 5:

Figure if I cant get him then the security guards will have to come help me tomorrow night. Get out my nifty head lamp and spray like crazy again! This time the guy is sure to be dead... nope its still going but Crazy Liz goes out for one last attempt and sure enough she gets it!!!
